September 2009
After three weeks in the hospital, Ella came home on Monday, September 7. She was still ill, but improving daily. And she has continued to improve all month. Now, she's pretty much back to normal. Or rather, the new normal, which means tantrums when she's tired, and a catheter for going potty. But by the end of the month (Tuesday the 29th, to be exact), she voluntarily told us that she had to go potty, and went right for the bathroom. That's my girl!
My sister sent Ella an all-Cinderella care package while Ella was in the hospital, and this dress was part of it...note the bare feet sticking out!!*

Ella's comfort object is her pacifier. We did not see her without it for several weeks. Lately, she's been needing it less and less, mostly when she's tired. We're hoping to wean her off them completely by Christmas. We'll see!
