Another aspect of the basic painting. *

I began the decoration by scanning and then printing pictures from children's books. I enlarged some of them. Then I used carbon paper to transfer the pictures to the walls. *

I thought it would be easier to paint the room one color at a time. Here I have white done. *

...Aaaand that's as far as I got prior to my unexpected Hospital stay! *

That didn't stop us from getting her room ready before she came home, though. *

This is going to be a large project, and I'm starting to regret my grandiose plans!! *

However, I can work it in small sections! This is the corner by the door, which you see as you step into the room. *

Some "happy trees"... I plan on painitng a large beanstalk behind the door, which will be her growth chart. :) *

Brownies are not pretty, and this guy looks a little fierce, but kinda cute. This is from a children's book of the 1930's. *
